A 35-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after the home of pop star Rihanna was hit by gunfire, Los Angeles police say.<\/p>\n

Ivanna Lisette Ortiz is being held with bail set at $10.2m (\u00a37.6m). Officers responded to reports of gunfire at the Beverly Hills mansion at 13:15 local time (21:15 GMT) on Sunday.<\/p>\n

A woman accused of firing gunshots at singer Rihanna\u2019s Los Angeles mansion was charged with one count of attempted murder and 10 counts of assault on a person with a semiautomatic firearm, court records showed on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, 35, of Florida, was charged in the shooting on Sunday afternoon (March 8) outside the superstar\u2019s home in the Beverly Hills area.<\/a><\/p>\n

No one was hurt, however reports from the LA Times<\/a> claim that Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said that the Grammy<\/a> award-winning performer and her partner ASAP Rocky were both home at the time with their three children.<\/p>\n

Los Angeles Police chief Jim McDonnell told media that 10 people were at home at the time and identified the house as Rihanna’s but did not confirm if the celebrities were in at the time the shots were fired.<\/p>\n

Court records show Ortiz also was charged with three counts of shooting at an inhabited vehicle or dwelling, believed to be an Airstream parked on the property according to reports. All 14 counts are felonies.<\/p>\n

The suspect was being held on a 10.2 million dollar bail while awaiting her expected arraignment later on Tuesday in a Los Angeles courtroom. The suspect allegedly threatened the Umbrella singer<\/a> on social media in the days before the incident unfolded.<\/p>\n

Mr McDonnell said investigators believe Ortiz drove to the area from Florida, but it is not clear when. The 35-year-old has been a licensed speech pathologist for more than a decade and her most recent registered address is in Orlando.<\/p>\n

Authorities have not said if she has any connection to Rihanna. Ortiz was arrested on Sunday afternoon after the shooting and a weapon was recovered, police said.<\/p>\n

It was unclear if she has an lawyer. Voicemails could not be left on a phone number listed under her name, and no one immediately responded to an email seeking comment sent to an address listed in her name.<\/p>\n

An email to the public defender\u2019s office was also not immediately answered. Rihanna’s publicist and manager did not give a comment to the Associated Press.<\/p>\n

KABC-TV broadcast video that appeared to show five bullet holes in the home\u2019s front gate. The news station obtained police dispatch audio that says 10 shots were fired.<\/p>\n
