Wolfgang Van Halen surprised his mom Valerie Bertinelli with a heartfelt video on The Drew Barrymore Show<\/p>\n

“He just lights up my life. I just adore him,” Bertinelli said of her son on the show<\/p>\n

Bertinelli just launched her memoir Getting Naked and a digital platform called Valerie\u2019s Place<\/p>\n

Valerie Bertinelli<\/a> is celebrating the launch of her new book \u2014 and no one is prouder than her son.<\/p>\n

Wolfgang, whose father is late Van Halen frontman Eddie Van Halen<\/a>, secretly filmed a video to surprise his mom on the Tuesday, March 10, episode of The Drew Barrymore Show.<\/p>\n

Before playing the clip, host Drew Barrymore<\/a> praised the \u201cconsistent love\u201d Bertinelli has shown when speaking about her musician son.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, just wait till you meet him,\u201d Bertinelli responded.<\/p>\n

The recorded message then showed Wolfgang, 34, onscreen addressing his mom.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust wanted to say, congratulations on the book launch on, Valerie’s Place, on the website. You’re doing so much you’re so busy and I’m so proud of you and I love you so very much,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

In addition to releasing her new memoir Getting Naked<\/a>, the celebrity chef recently launched Valerie\u2019s Place<\/a>, a digital platform that includes a library of fan-favorite content along with original programming.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou’re probably crying right now,\u201d Wolfgang went on, adding, \u201cSo I’m sorry for making you cry.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope it’s happy tears, it probably is, but yeah, that’s all. I love you. I’m very proud to be your son,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Bertinelli, 65, was visibly emotional over the sweet surprise.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can’t believe he did that,\u201d she admitted. \u201cHe’s so private. Oh my God … He just lights up my life. I just adore him. I’m so proud to be his mother.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI’m just so happy that he found his person,\u201d Bertinelli added, referring to her daughter-in-law Andraia Allsop, whom he married in October 2023.<\/p>\n

Bertinelli also opened up about Getting Naked in PEOPLE\u2019s latest cover story,<\/a> calling her decision to pose nude for the cover \u201cmy stupid bright idea\u201d while admitting she had fun doing it.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause getting naked emotionally was the most important part of the book, I thought ‘Well, I might as well expose myself there too,’\u201d the star said.<\/p>\n

\u201cPart of me also feels like at this age, if I can look good, do it,\u201d she laughed. \u201cAnd I don\u2019t know what I\u2019m going to look like when I\u2019m 80 but at 65 it looks pretty f—ing good. I think you\u2019re allowed to feel good about yourself. I have felt bad about myself for too many decades. I\u2019m going to feel good about myself now.\u201d<\/p>\n
