The event’s host, Marsai Martin, said that Zendaya “doesn’t play about her private life.”<\/p>\n

Zendaya’s<\/a> Carrie Bradshaw-inspired dress wasn’t the only show-stopping thing she wore at Essence’s 2026 Black Women in Hollywood Awards on Thursday. The actress<\/a> apparently flashed her wedding band at the Los Angeles event, according to a new report from People<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Host Marsai Martin namechecked Zendaya during the ceremony, adding that the Euphoria star “doesn’t play about her private life.” Zendaya is thought to have secretly tied the knot<\/a> with her longtime partner, Tom Holland.<\/p>\n

After Martin asked Zendaya to give her “a sign” of her betrothal, the audience applauded when she showed off what appeared to be her wedding band.<\/p>\n

A source also told People that Zendaya was “overheard accepting well wishes from fellow attendees at the event.”<\/p>\n

Zendaya’s stylist Law Roach broke the news of her marriage at the 2026 Actor Awards earlier this month. Speaking to Access Hollywood<\/a> on the red carpet, he shared that her wedding to Holland “already happened.”<\/p>\n

“You missed it! It’s very true,” he added.<\/p>\n

Holland and Zendaya initially sparked romance rumors back in 2017 after meeting on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming. She revealed their engagement after showing up at the 2025 Golden Globes with a massive rock on her ring finger.<\/p>\n

The following day, People<\/a> confirmed that Holland<\/a> did indeed pop the question. According to TMZ<\/a>, he got down on one knee during the 2024 holiday season.<\/p>\n

At the time, a source close to the couple told People that they didn’t plan to “rush a wedding.”<\/p>\n

Roach echoed this sentiment in a May 2025 interview with Complex<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cZendaya is working on six movies; she has like six movies coming out,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m thinking about the press tours!\u201d<\/p>\n
