Katy Perry\u2019s reaction to high concert ticket prices during the cost-of-living crisis has not gone down well with the internet.<\/p>\n

A fan posted on X: \u201cI so badly don\u2019t wanna be here anymore. I\u2019m not cut out for this world. Like I cannot afford to live at this rate and I\u2019m so close to selling my Katy ticket.\u201d They shared an image of Katy Perry<\/a> lying on the floor during a 2017 YouTube livestream.<\/p>\n

This message was not well-received. A Reddit<\/a> user wrote: \u201cTone deaf final boss I\u2019m crying.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMama lets research (the cost of living),\u201d another commented.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor real,\u201d someone posted, \u201cthere is something genuinely impressive (and hilarious) about how dismissive and tone-deaf this is lol. Like, what!?\u201d<\/p>\n

People were unimpressed that Katy Perry took the time to reply to the fan, but hadn\u2019t offered to help by covering the cost of the ticket.<\/p>\n

One person called Katy Perry\u2019s response \u201cso out of touch from reality it\u2019s like she never left outer space<\/a>\u201c.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis would make me sell the ticket,\u201d another concluded.<\/p>\n

After all this backlash, Katy Perry posted a messaged to her \u201chaters\u201d. She asked her X followers to \u201cbe kind\u201d and \u201calways take the high road if you can\u201d.<\/p>\n

Tickets to Katy Perry\u2019s sold-out show in Cardiff<\/a> in June are being advertised on ticket reseller sites for between \u00a3138 and \u00a3431. Some VIP package tickets for her Lifetimes Tour in the US reportedly reached as much as $1,403.<\/p>\n
