ALL seven Limerick sides in the Energia All-Ireland League<\/a> can take stock this weekend as the competition takes a break as the Guinness Six Nations Championship concludes.<\/p>\n

This weekend will see a one-week break before action resumes again on Saturday week. In Division 1A, Young Munster’s play-off hopes were dealt a blow in the capital last weekend, when losing out by 18 points to Lansdowne at the Aviva Stadium back pitch.<\/p>\n

‘Munsters’ were defeated on a scoreline of 31-13. The result keeps ‘The Cookies’ sixth in the Division 1A table.\u00a0 Next up for Ger Salttery’s side is a home tie against Clontarf at Tom Clifford Park on March 21 at 2.30pm.<\/p>\n

In Division 1B, Garryowen secured a precious 31-28 win over Blackrock College in Dooradoyle last weekend.
The Limerick side produced a masterful comeback in the second half to get over the line, having been down 21-5 at the interval.<\/p>\n

The result keeps Garryowen fifth in the 1B table ahead of their trip to Shaw’s Bridge to face Instonians on Saturday week at 2.30pm.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In Division 2A, Shannon secured a vital 23-19 win over Dungannon on the back pitch at Thomond Park. The Limerick side found themselves three points behind at half-time, but managed to produce a fine second half display to eke out a four-point winning margin.<\/p>\n

The result keeps Shannon in third position in the 2A table ahead of a trip to Rifle Park to face Banbridge on Saturday week, March 21 at 2.30pm.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Also in Division 2A, Old Crescent were edged by MU Barnhall at Takumi Park on a scoreline of 24-21. The away side did hold a commanding 14-point half-time lead, but to the Limerick side’s credit, they dug in during the second half and almost produced an admirable comeback.<\/p>\n

The result leaves Old Crescent sitting ninth in the 2A table on 25 points ahead of a trip to\u00a0Dr. Hickey Park to face Greystones on Saturday week at 2.30pm.<\/p>\n

In Division 2B, UL Bohemian were narrowly beaten by Raimey RFC at Hatrick Park on a scoreline of 26-24. UL-Bohs\u2019 found themselves 18-points down at the half-time break, but came close to pulling off a stunning second-half comeback, ultimately coming up just short.<\/p>\n

The result leaves the Limerick side sitting third in the 2A table, ahead of a home tie against the\u00a0Buccaneers at the University of Limerick’s North Campus on Saturday week at 2.30pm.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In Division 2C, Bruff were beaten at the hands of Ballyclare at Kilballyowen Park on a scoreline of 34-19. Bruff left themselves too much to do in the second period having been 17-0 down at the break.<\/p>\n

The result leaves Bruff sitting seventh in the 2C table ahead of their clash with Bective Rangers on Saturday week at 2.30pm at Energia Park.<\/p>\n

Also in 2C, Thomond secured a precious 34-24 win in 2C over Malahide at Liam Fitzgerald Park which keeps them in third in the table.<\/p>\n

Next up for Thomond is a trip to Virgin Media Park to face Dolphin on Saturday. week, March 21 with a kick-off time of 2.30pm.\u00a0<\/p>\n
