Leeds United picked up a massive three points on Saturday as they came from behind to beat Wolves at Molineux.<\/p>\n
Anton Stach\u2019s free-kick was labelled \u201csuper\u201d by Danny Murphy<\/a>, as the German midfielder scored his first goal for Leeds<\/a>.<\/p>\n Murphy also praised Dominic Calvert-Lewin for his header<\/a>, as the striker\u2019s finish initially levelled the game at 1-1 before Stach\u2019s<\/a> free kick.<\/p>\n Noah Okafor\u2019s low-driven effort killed the game off<\/a> before half-time as the winger was the third summer signing to score his first goal in a white shirt that afternoon.<\/p>\n Leeds\u2019 clash with Wolves was labelled a must-win<\/a> by Graham Smyth<\/a>, and the Whites ultimately did by delivering a hammer blow to one of the sides who will likely be in a relegation battle with them come the end of the season.<\/p>\n After being 1-0 down, not many could have foreseen a United comeback, especially considering the trouble they have had when it comes to scoring goals this season.<\/p>\n Leeds\u2019 three goals against Wolves is more than they managed to score in their previous five games combinedPrior to the Wolves game, Lukas Nmecha\u2019s penalty against Everton and Jayden Bogle\u2019s strike against Sheffield Wednesday were the only goals Leeds had scored this seasonCalvert-Lewin\u2019s header at Molineux was the first goal the Whites had scored from open play in the Premier League this season<\/p>\n According to LUFCDATA on X, Leeds\u2019 comeback against Wolves on Saturday was the 12th in the club\u2019s history.<\/p>\n The Whites have only managed more against Leicester City, with 13, meaning United will be on the verge of equalling a club record when they meet Wolves at Elland Road in the return fixture in April.<\/p>\n Leeds still need to create more chances<\/p>\n In order to keep winning games this season, Leeds need to be more creative.<\/p>\n Against Wolves, they scored three goals from four shots on target.<\/p>\n Whilst this clinical finishing is needed, especially on the road, it is unlikely that this level of finishing can be replicated by Daniel Farke\u2019s<\/a> men in every game.<\/p>\n In order to survive the drop, Leeds cannot create 0.48 xG in games consistently and expect to pick up results, so whilst it was ultimately a needed win, Farke will be aware that his side must continue to improve.<\/p>\n Enjoyed this article?
