DENVER (KDVR<\/a>) \u2014 Another wolf in the King Mountain pack has died, Colorado Parks and Wildlife announced Friday.<\/p>\n

CPW said it received a mortality signal for gray wolf 2310 in northwest Colorado on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Wolf 2310 was the maternal member of the King Mountain pack, CPW said. A breeding male of the same pack, wolf 2305, died of acute cardiogenic shock<\/a> while wildlife officials were replacing batteries in the pack\u2019s collars on Jan. 28.<\/p>\n

CPW said it is leading the mortality investigation in consultation with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The investigation will determine the cause of death after a necropsy is completed.<\/p>\n

Further information was not available for release, CPW said<\/a>.<\/p>\n
