Garda\u00ed in Cork are appealing for witnesses following reports of two incidents of robbery in the Ballincollig yesterday evening.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed attended the scene of\u00a0 the first incident following a report of a robbery at a premises in Ballincollig at approximately 10.15pm.\u00a0<\/p>\n
According to Garda\u00ed a female entered the premises brandishing a suspected imitation firearm and threatened staff.<\/p>\n
Later that evening, garda\u00ed responded to report of a separate incident of robbery in the area.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“A female brandishing an implement threatened an individual. A quantity of cash is reported to have been taken,” said a spokesperson.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A woman, aged in her 40\u2019s, was subsequently arrested in connection with the investigation, and is currently detained pursuant to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, at a garda station in Cork.<\/p>\n
An imitation firearm and a number of bladed implements were recovered. The firearm is subject to ballistic analysis.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed said no injuries were reported at the time, and investigations are ongoing.<\/p>\n
They are now appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to come forward.<\/p>\n
Any person who was travelling in the Ballincollig, area on Sunday, between 9.30pm and 10.30pm, is asked to contact investigating garda\u00ed.<\/p>\n
Additionally, road users or pedestrians who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to garda\u00ed.<\/p>\n
