\n\tAllison Janney, Jeff Bridges and Jesse Eisenberg will lead the voice cast of \u201cMinions & Monsters,\u201d the latest \u201cDespicable Me\u201d spinoff.<\/p>\n
\n\tThey\u2019ll be joined on the call sheet by Christoph Waltz, Zoey Deutch, Bobby Moynihan and \u201cSouth Park\u201d co-creator Trey Parker.<\/p>\n
\n\tA prequel to 2010\u2019s \u201cDespicable Me\u201d and sequel to 2022\u2019s \u201cMinions: The Rise of Gru,\u201d the newest adventure is set in the world of 1920s Hollywood as the beloved, highlighter-yellow underlings work to find the lead of their monster movie. Described as \u201crambunctious, ridiculous and totally true,\u201d the story follows how the Minions conquered the entertainment industry and became movie stars \u2026 only to lose everything and unleash monsters onto the world before (as everyone knows) they banded together to save the planet from their mayhem.<\/p>\n
\n\tUniversal and Illumination\u2019s third \u201cMinions\u201d movie will be directed by Pierre Coffin, who helmed the first three \u201cDespicable Me\u201d films and first \u201cMinions\u201d installment. He also provides the voice of the Minions.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMinions & Monsters\u201d is slated to hit theaters on July 1. The film follows the blockbuster success of 2024\u2019s \u201cDespicable Me 4,\u201d which earned $972 million globally.
