{"id":349580,"date":"2026-03-16T20:56:08","date_gmt":"2026-03-16T20:56:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/349580\/"},"modified":"2026-03-16T20:56:08","modified_gmt":"2026-03-16T20:56:08","slug":"google-rolling-out-modem-update-for-original-pixel-watch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/349580\/","title":{"rendered":"Google rolling out modem update for original Pixel Watch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t<img width=\"1500\" height=\"750\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Pixel-Watch-update.jpg\" class=\"skip-lazy wp-post-image\" alt=\"\"  decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Following the last release <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5google.com\/2025\/10\/27\/pixel-watch-october-update\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">in October<\/a>, Google is <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/googlepixelwatch\/thread\/417704094\/pixel-watch-1-modem-software-update-march-2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">rolling out<\/a> a modem update for the original Pixel Watch released in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>This \u201cadditional March 2026 software update\u201d just includes \u201cbug fixes to improve E911 Emergency dialing behavior.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>BW1A.260305.003 (from BW1A.251005.003.W1) remains Wear OS 5.1 based on Android 15. The original Pixel Watch will not get Wear OS 6+ having surpassed its three-year update guarantee. It will continue to receive app updates from the Play Store.<\/p>\n<p>As of Monday morning, the OTA is not yet available on the <a href=\"https:\/\/developers.google.com\/android\/ota-watch\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">factory images site <\/a>for manual install.
