Disney+ has renewed Paradise for a third season. A critical and commercial success, the Hulu Original drama, which made its debut on the streamer in January 2025, has acquired a loyal fanbase, with viewers clocking in over 30 million hours on season two<\/a>, and nearly 12 billion minutes globally across its first two seasons. <\/p>\n

Helmed by This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman<\/a>, the political thriller follows Xavier Collins (Sterling K Brown), a former Secret Service agent living in a post-apocalyptic world. Residing with fellow survivors in an underground bunker in Colorado, Xavier finds himself thrust into a twisted conspiracy after his boss and long-time friend, President Bradford (James Marsden), is murdered. <\/p>\n

While season one of Paradise focused on Xavier’s investigation into the President’s death, the second instalment sees the former Marine venturing out of the bunker in a bid to find his wife, Teri<\/a> (Enuka Okuma), who he’d long believed to be dead. <\/p>\n

Currently, season one has a rating of 86% on Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>, while season two, which has been hailed as “addictive” by Espinof<\/a> and “cleverly plotted” by Empire Magazine<\/a>, is scored at an even higher 90%. <\/a><\/p>\n

Brown, who also serves as an executive producer, leads the series while acting alongside a stellar cast. Okuma, Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, James Marsden, Krys Marshall, Aliyah Mastin, Percy Daggs IV and Charlie Evans have all been with the show since the beginning. Meanwhile, Shailene Woodley, Thomas Doherty, and Jon Beavers signed on as new additions for season two. <\/p>\n

While details surrounding season three are limited, Brown told Collider<\/a> in January that Fogelman was planning on ending the show after a third and final instalment. “So, twice in a row now, we’ve done this, where with This Is Us, he knew it was going to be six seasons. Paradise, he knows it’s three seasons,” the actor explained.<\/p>\n

“It means that he gets to build towards something with each episode. We’re not trying to put filler into something just to keep it going in perpetuity. We get to build towards something.<\/p>\n

“I think the audience senses the momentum that each episode has serious consequences to it, and it’s building to a complete picture. I think in film, and I think in theatre, you get a chance to know the beginning, middle, and end, and I think it’s incredibly satisfying to know the arc. <\/p>\n

“Maybe it’s not the exact same way, but as the sort of central character through this thing, I find it very satisfying to know that we’re starting at a place, we’re ending at a very different place, and it feels complete. It feels whole. I’m excited.”<\/p>\n

Seasons one and two of Paradise are available to stream on Hulu<\/a> and Disney+<\/a>. Season three has yet to receive a release date. <\/p>\n
