{"id":354276,"date":"2026-03-19T12:04:09","date_gmt":"2026-03-19T12:04:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/354276\/"},"modified":"2026-03-19T12:04:09","modified_gmt":"2026-03-19T12:04:09","slug":"revenue-at-three-ireland-rises-in-2025-the-irish-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/354276\/","title":{"rendered":"Revenue at Three Ireland rises in 2025 \u2013 The Irish Times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Revenue at telecoms company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/three-ireland\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/three-ireland\/\">Three Ireland<\/a> rose 1 per cent last year as the company continued to grow its customer base.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The company said revenue for 2025 was \u20ac635 million, up from \u20ac630 million a year earlier, showing a slowing from the prior year\u2019s pace. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) rose 2 per cent to \u20ac179 million, with positive margin growth offset by slightly higher operating costs for the year. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The group said its contract customer base rose 9 per cent, or more than 450,000 customers, on 2024. Although the rate of growth moderated from 2024, Three Ireland had a customer base of more than 5.4 million, with almost 50 per cent of the mobile market by the final quarter of 2025 according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/comreg\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/comreg\/\">ComReg\u2019s latest report. <\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">That rise was fuelled by further growth in the business to business market, with Three\u2019s share of the internet of things (IoT) market standing at more than 80 per cent. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The company has invested almost \u20ac2 billion in its Irish business to date, with \u20ac1.2 billion invested since 2015. Last year, it had an overall capital expenditure of \u20ac87 million, including network investment and energy saving measures. That is slightly behind previous years, when spending was around \u20ac95 million. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"c-image audio_image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/1754647931518-c07d65db-55b5-463e-ae51-976300c5837e.jpeg\"\/>The difficult choices that could dramatically increase housing supply in Dublin<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Chief executive of Three Ireland Elaine Carey said the company was pleased with the financial results, with strong operational performance and healthy consumer demand supported by continued investment in its network. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">\u201cWe want to broaden and enhance our offering to customers even further, and this will be a key focus for us in 2026,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \"> \u201cThe investment we are making underpins Ireland\u2019s competitiveness and resilience in an ever-more connected world and economy.
