\n\t\u201cSpider-Man: Brand New Day<\/a>\u201d is already web-slinging its way to history. The Sony Pictures trailer, released on Wednesday morning, has become the biggest trailer of all time with 718.6 million views in 24 hours.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Spidey trailer broke the previous record held by \u201cDeadpool and Wolverine,\u201d which had 365 million views. In just eight hours, the \u201cSpider-Man: Brand New Day\u201d trailer had 373 million views \u2014 already breaking the record by \u201cDeadpool 3,\u201d which dropped during the 2024 Super Bowl. Coincidentally, \u201cDeadpool 3\u201d had jumped the 2021 \u201cSpider-Man: No Way Home\u201d trailer, which had 355.5 million views in 24 hours, to put itself in the record books.<\/p>\n

\n\tNot only does \u201cSpider-Man: Brand New Day\u201d have the biggest movie trailer in history, it\u2019s the biggest trailer, period. It surpasses last year\u2019s trailer for the hotly anticipated video game \u201cGrand Theft Auto VI,\u201d which pulled in 475 million views in 24 hours to become the biggest video trailer ever \u2014 until now. To build excitement for the \u201cBrand New Day\u201d trailer, Sony released tiny snippets one day in advance showing moments from the full video.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBrand New Day\u201d is the first time Tom Holland has suited up as Spidey since \u201cNo Way Home,\u201d which united past wall-crawlers Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield for a universe-crossing blockbuster. \u201cNo Way Home\u201d went on to gross $1.9 billion at the global box office.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFour years have passed since the events of\u00a0\u2018No Way Home,\u2019 and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily\u00a0erased\u00a0himself from the lives and memories of those he loves,\u201d the logline for \u201cBrand New Day\u201d teases. \u201cCrime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he\u2019s devoted himself entirely to protecting his city \u2014 a full-time Spider-Man \u2014\u00a0but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe cast includes Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo. It\u2019s directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. Producers include Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad and Rachel O\u2019Connor, plus executive producers Louis D\u2019Esposito and David Cain.<\/p>\n
