\n\tEXCLUSIVE: The Last of Us<\/a> has cast two key roles from the second game, siblings Yara and Lev. Bridgerton\u2018s Michelle Mao<\/a> and Kyriana Kratter<\/a> (Star Wars: Skeleton Crew) are joining the upcoming third season of the HBO<\/a> post-apocalyptic drama as series regulars playing Yara and Lev, respectively. <\/p>\n

\n\tSeraphites Yara and especially Lev are a major part of Abby Anderson\u2019s (Kaitlyn Dever) arc, which is believed to be the focus on The Last of Us\u2018 third and likely final season. Lev is the deuteragonist of Abby\u2019s storyline in Naughty Dog\u2019s game, serving as her partner and moral compass.<\/p>\n

\n\tLike in the game, Lev (Kratter) is a 13-year-old transgender boy. <\/p>\n

\n\tHBO held an inclusive casting call for Lev, with young actors of different backgrounds auditioning. It was won by Kratter who is a child herself at 15.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Last Of Us Season 3 cast includes returning stars Dever, Bella Ramsey, Isabela Merced, Gabriel Luna and Jeffrey Wright, as well as newly announced additions: Clea DuVall will portray a seraphite, and Jorge Lendeborg Jr. is taking on the role of Manny, following Danny Ramirez\u2019s departure. Jason Ritter\u00a0and\u00a0Patrick Wilson are recurring as Hanley, a WLF soldier, and Abby\u2019s (Dever) father Jerry, respectively.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Last of Us was co-created by\u00a0Craig Mazin\u00a0and the game\u2019s Neil Druckmann, with Mazin, who served as executive producer\/co-showrunner alongside Druckmann in Seasons 1 and 2, as the sole showrunner for Season 3.<\/p>\n

\n\tKratter was a main cast member opposite Jude Law and Ryan Kiera Armstrong in Disney+\u2019s Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. She also had a recurring role on Disney Channel\u2019s Bunk\u2019d. Kratter is repped by Paradigm and Complete Management Group. <\/p>\n

\n\tMao is coming off a major role as Sophie\u2019s (Yerin Ha) \u201cevil\u201d stepsister Rosamund on the Cinderella-themed Season 4 of Netflix\u2019s Bridgerton. She also headlines director Kogonada\u2019s feature Zi, which premiered at Sundance in January.
