The father of a little baby girl who was tragically murdered in Cork<\/a> while on his way to get food will be laid to rest next week.<\/p>\n Father-of-one, 31-year-old Oleksandr Zhyvytskyi, was stabbed in the chest in the Lower John Street area of Cork after leaving his apartment in Camden Court at around 7:10pm on Monday night.<\/p>\n Oleksandr, who is originally from Ukraine but had been living in Ireland for a long period, was on his way to get food when he was stabbed in a suspected random attack in the street<\/a>.<\/p>\n His wife raised the alarm and emergency services rushed to the scene but were unable to save the victim in time. His body was transported to the morgue at Cork University Hospital<\/a> where a post mortem was subsequently carried out by the State Pathologist.<\/p>\n On Thursday, 42-year-old Jonathan Hennessy of Dr Patrick O’Sullivan Terrace, Upper Aghada, Co Cork, appeared before Cork District Court charged with the murder of Oleksandr.<\/p>\n In a heartbreaking post on RIP.ie, Oleksandr\u2019s loving wife Viktoriya paid an emotional tribute to her late husband, sharing how he was her \u201csoulmate\u201d and her \u201csafe space\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is with broken hearts we share the sudden death of my beloved husband, Oleksandr. You were my everything, my soulmate, my strength, my safe place,\u201d She wrote on RIP.ie<\/p>\n \u201cA loving and devoted father to our baby girl Yeva. She will grow up knowing how deeply she was loved by you. Thank you for every moment, every memory, every piece of love you gave us. We will carry you in our hearts forever.<\/p>\n \u201cSadly missed by your loving wife Viktoriya, daughter Yeva, mother Halyna, father Mykola, brother Maksym, mother-in-law Nadya, father-in-law Serhiy, sister-in-law Alina, brother-in-law Jimmy, extended family, work colleagues and many many friends.\u201d<\/p>\n Oleksandr will lay in repose at Coughlan\u2019s Funeral Home, Shandon Street, on Monday, March 23 from 10am, with prayers at 6pm.
