\n\tThe Pussycat Dolls<\/a> couldn\u2019t stay hush-hush forever about original member Carmit Bachar claiming that she wasn\u2019t invited to the band\u2019s upcoming reunion trek.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn an interview on Today on Friday (March 20) \u2014 three days after Bachar wrote<\/a> on Instagram that she \u201cwas not contacted\u201d ahead of the girl group\u2019s new music release and tour announcement \u2014 Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt and Ashley Roberts were asked head-on why they hadn\u2019t included their former bandmate in the comeback. \u201cWell, I mean, listen \u2014 we are just, so, as women today \u2026,\u201d Scherzinger began, struggling momentarily to find the words.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI mean, it has been an ever-changing lineup, and this is what it looks like now in 2026,\u201d Wyatt jumped in. \u201cYou never know what comes next. Ultimately, we\u2019ve got to protect our peace, and when something like The Pussycat Dolls has so much history \u2026 we have ruptured in the past, and right now we are repairing, and we\u2019re sort of on the same page with that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tScherzinger then spoke up again to finish her thought. \u201cBut what I wanted to say is, we have so much love and respect for all of the women that have been part of the PCD legacy. Once a Doll, always a Doll.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tNow a trio, the Pussycat Dolls launched their grand return on March 12, dropping new banger \u201cClub Song\u201d and sharing plans<\/a> for a 53-date reunion tour kicking off in June. A few days after the news, Bachar posted a lengthy message, writing, \u201cIn light of recent developments, I feel it is important to speak honestly and respectfully. I was not contacted regarding the group\u2019s decision to move forward, and I learned of these plans at the same time as the public.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cGiven my history with the brand, having been part of its foundation long before its commercial debut and instrumental in the connections that led to the record deal \u2026 I would have appreciated direct communication,\u201d she continued at the time. \u201cWhile this is disappointing on a personal level, I remain proud of the role I played in helping shape what The Pussycat Dolls became.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDebuting in 1995, the Pussycat Dolls started out as a sextet that also featured Melody Thornton and Jessica Sutta. Over the years, they\u2019ve charted 11 songs on the Billboard Hot 100<\/a> and two albums on the Billboard 200<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\tBachar was part of the Dolls\u2019 reunion in 2019, for which they performed as a quintet \u2014 sans Thornton \u2014 on The X Factor: Celebrity, later dropping \u201cReact\u201d in February 2020. That comeback was short-lived, however, as the COVID-19 pandemic forced them to postpone a tour they\u2019d had planned for that year. The trek was eventually scrapped entirely in 2022, at which point Bachar and Sutta wrote on Instagram that they hadn\u2019t been notified before the announcement of its cancelation.<\/p>\n
