She was just 13-years-old when she played one of the seven von Trapp children in the classic film, The Sound of Music.<\/p>\n

The iconic 1965 film saw Julie Andrews star as Governess Maria, a nun who cares for widowed Captain von Trapp’s seven children in Austria during the 1930s.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But the project – which won multiple Academy Awards<\/a> – isn’t the only legendary title on her acting resume.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She also appeared in Lost in Space, The Love Boat, Adam-12, and\u00a0Beyond the Poseidon Adventure.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Now 73, this star went on to pursue photography, clothing and jewelry design.\u00a0<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, she was spotted taking a break from her creative pursuits as she kept her car in tip-top shape.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Cartwright was spotted cleaning her car windshield while out in the City of Angels.<\/p>\n

Clad in a flowing dress and trainers, Cartwright used a windshield wiper to keep her window in perfect condition.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

British-born Cartwright was 13 when she played the role of 10-year-old Brigitta, but she already had a solid career as a child actress behind her.<\/p>\n

Aged three she appeared as Paul Newman’s daughter in the film Somebody Up There Likes Me, and starred in seven seasons of the US TV series Make Room for Daddy.<\/p>\n

After The Sound of Music, she continued her acting career and starred in the TV series Lost in Space and Make Room for Granddaddy.<\/p>\n

But after having her two children – Jesse and Rebecca Gullion – she swapped acting for other artistic pursuits.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She has been a photographer for more than 30 years and has published several tomes on photography techniques.<\/p>\n

In 2019 she made a cameo appearance as Dr. Smith’s mother, Sheila Harris, in the third episode of the second season of the 2018 Netflix re-imagined Lost In Space series.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Clearly acting talent runs in the family, her sister is X-files star Veronica Cartwright.<\/p>\n

Throughout it all, she managed to make time to reunite with her Sound of Music co-stars in Italy last summer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Cartwright was in Florence with\u00a0Nicholas Hammond, 75, who played the eldest von Trapp son Friedrich, Duane Chase, 75, who took on the role Kurt, Debbie Turner, 69, who played Marta, and\u00a0Kym Karath, 67, who played youngest von Trapp sibling Gretl.<\/p>\n

‘The Sound of Music in Florence – the five of us! #thesoundofmusicinflorence,’ Kym captioned the photo.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Sound Of Music went on to become a bonafide hit, earning the distinction of being the first film to gross over $100 million.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Adjusted for inflation, The Sound Of Music earned about $2.366 billion at today’s prices\u2014placing it among the top ten highest-grossing films of all time.\u00a0<\/p>\n
