Donegal Garda\u00ed and the PSNI in Derry took part in a cross-border road safety operation at the weekend.<\/p>\n
On Saturday night, Ballyarnett Neighbourhood Policing Team and Garda\u00ed conducted vehicle checkpoints as a very visible, physical deterrent to anyone thinking about drink or drug driving.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve been working closely with An Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na colleagues in recent days, co-ordinating road safety operations between here and County Donegal,\u201d a PSNI spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
\u201cDrink\/drug driving can kill and ruin lives in an instant. It\u2019s reckless. Please don\u2019t risk it.\u201d<\/p>\n
