Manchester United defender Patrick Dorgu has revealed his reaction to losing compatriots Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund as club team-mates at Old Trafford<\/a> this summer.<\/p>\n

Dorgu joined United in the January transfer window from Italian side Lecce and has made the left-wing-back slot his own in Ruben Amorim’s starting XI.<\/p>\n

He became the fourth Danish player in the squad, joining Eriksen, Hojlund and young forward Chido Obi, but now that contingent has been cut down to two.<\/p>\n

Eriksen left the club on a free transfer at the end of last season and is still on the lookout for a new club. Hojlund joined Napoli on a season-long loan deal which includes an obligation to turn the deal permanent.<\/p>\n

Dorgu has described Hojlund’s departure as a ‘bigger shock’ and admitted it was a ‘big plus’ for him joining United knowing his international team-mates were at the club.<\/p>\n

Sky has slashed the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports<\/a> bundle for the 2025\/26 season, saving members \u00a3336 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.<\/p>\n

Sky will show at least 215 live Premier League games this season, an increase of up to 100 more.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s how it is in football,\u201d Dorgu told Ekstrabladet<\/a>, as translated by Sport Witness<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou never know when it\u2019s your turn to move on. We knew it would happen to Christian, but it was perhaps a bigger shock that Rasmus had to move on.<\/p>\n

\u201cI talked to him a lot during the process and could sense which way it was going. Hopefully, we will now see each other every time on the national team.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have been very happy to be teammates with Christian and Rasmus. It was a big plus for me that they were at the club when I joined. That way it was easier to become part of the squad.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut it was in no way decisive for my choice of Manchester United<\/a>. I was thinking much more about the coach\u2019s plans and ideas with me when I had to make the decision.<\/p>\n

\u201cI travelled alone to Italy when I was 17. I am also alone in Manchester and I am fine that way. You become incredibly strong mentally when you travel alone so early, because you have to make a lot of decisions. I am sure that mental strength has also helped me on the pitch.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dorgu was an unused substitute on Friday in Copenhagen as Denmark were held to a 0-0 draw by Scotland in their first World Cup qualifier.<\/p>\n
