After recently getting added to the streaming giant in the UK, the BBC’s Dublin Murders has jumped right into the number one spot of Netflix’s trending top 10. The crime drama, from creator Sarah Phelps (The Sixth Commandment), follows two detectives as they investigate the mysterious death of a girl. <\/p>\n

Dublin Murders first aired on BBC One and RT\u00c9 One in 2019, and was adapted from Tana French’s best-selling crime novels. It was then made available on Disney Plus<\/a> last year, and is now reaching a whole new audience on Netflix \u2013 with fans clearly rushing to watch it. <\/p>\n

The drama stars Sarah Greene (Bad Sisters, The Death of Bunny Munro) and Killian Scott (The Capture, Ripper Street) as detectives Cassie Maddox and Rob Reilly, as they tackle a case that haunts the local community just outside of Ireland’s capital. When a 13-year-old is tragically found dead in the woods, the pair are called to the scene and begin to wonder whether this killing may be linked to a past missing persons case involving three young boys in the ’80s. <\/p>\n

After Dublin Murders first premiered, viewers were left impressed<\/a>. “Such a great opening episode,” one fan wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter) at the time. “Very impressed with #DublinMurders literally cant wait for tomorrow nights episode,” another added. <\/p>\n

Critics also seemed to have a mostly-positive reaction to the drama, with Daily Telegraph<\/a> noting its “countless plot twists” in a four-star review\/finale recap, branding it a “knotty Irish crime thriller” with a “compelling conclusion”.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile Screenrant said (via Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>): “Dublin Murders offers a satisfyingly dark and twisty crime thriller, anchored by strong performances from Scott and Greene.”<\/p>\n

“Certainly it was atmospheric, often terrific, never dull, but I suspect many were befuddled by the leaps between two plots,” said Observer<\/a> (via Guardian), as part of its weekly TV round-up at the time. <\/p>\n

With all eight episodes of Dublin Murders now available to stream on Netflix, this could be the perfect time to get lost in the mystery of the series \u2013 with all its twists and turns \u2013 if you haven’t already. <\/p>\n

The series joins One Tree Hill, the beloved ’00s teen drama, and classic 2010s sci-fi mystery series Person of Interest, both of which have also recently found new UK streaming homes at Netflix. <\/p>\n
