Leonid Radvinsky, a Ukrainian-American entrepreneur who was the owner of the adult content platform OnlyFans, has died.<\/p>\n
In a statement, the company confirmed his death from cancer at the age of 43.<\/p>\n
A spokesman for OnlyFans<\/a> said: “We are deeply saddened to announce the death of Leo Radvinsky.<\/p>\n “Leo passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer.<\/p>\n “His family have requested privacy at this difficult time.”<\/p>\n Mr Radvinsky acquired Fenix International \u2060Limited, the parent company of OnlyFans, in 2018 and served \u200cas its director and majority shareholder.<\/p>\n He also ran Leo, a venture capital \u200cfund he founded in 2009 that focuses primarily on investments in technology companies.<\/p>\n OnlyFans, founded in 2016 by British entrepreneur Tim Stokely, \u2060surged in popularity during the \u200bCOVID pandemic as lockdowns drove creators \u200band consumers online.<\/p>\n It turned the subscription-based \u200bplatform into a mainstream source of \u2060income and entertainment globally.<\/p>\n In January, the Reuters news agency reported that OnlyFans was exploring the sale of \u2060a majority stake to \u200binvestment firm Architect Capital in a deal \u200bvaluing the company at about $5.5bn (\u00a34.1bn), including debt.<\/p>\n Read more from Sky News: The strong financial performance by the platform led to significant cash windfalls for Mr Radvinsky.<\/p>\n Last August, it was revealed Mr Radvinsky was paid \u00a3522m in dividends in 2024.<\/p>\n The streaming site had also seen its user numbers jump by almost a quarter.<\/p>\n OnlyFans reported that the total number of creator accounts producing content for the site grew by 13% to 4.6 million as more people used it as an opportunity to make a living.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Leonid Radvinsky, a Ukrainian-American entrepreneur who was the owner of the adult content platform OnlyFans, has died.
