{"id":361956,"date":"2026-03-24T04:25:11","date_gmt":"2026-03-24T04:25:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/361956\/"},"modified":"2026-03-24T04:25:11","modified_gmt":"2026-03-24T04:25:11","slug":"bohemians-assistant-stephen-odonnell-to-link-up-with-ireland-u21s","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/361956\/","title":{"rendered":"Bohemians assistant Stephen O&#8217;Donnell to link up with Ireland U21s"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BOHEMIANS HAVE announced their assistant boss Stephen O\u2019Donnell will link up with Ireland U21s this week.<\/p>\n<p>The former Dundalk player will serve as Jim Crawford\u2019s number two for the upcoming\u00a0European Championship qualifiers against Moldova and Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n<p>Bohemians manager Alan Reynolds previously worked in the same position before <a href=\"https:\/\/www.the42.ie\/alan-reynolds-fai-bohs-6455583-Aug2024\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">stepping down<\/a> in August 2024, while ex-Ireland international Paul McShane currently works in a similar role.<\/p>\n<p>O\u2019Donnell said that he was grateful to the Premier Division outfit for facilitating this opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe club recognises that me learning and upskilling while assisting the international set-up can be of huge benefit to my own development as a coach, which I believe will help both the international set-up and our own player development goals here at Bohs as well,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The 23-man squad for the games later this month was announced last Thursday, with Jaden Umeh and Adam Brennan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.the42.ie\/ireland-u21-6989483-Mar2026\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">among the new call-ups<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"BOHEMIANS HAVE announced their assistant boss Stephen O\u2019Donnell will link up with Ireland U21s this week.
