It’s not clear why Sony purged the games, but it’s speculated that such listings of questionable quality are often made with generative AI to cut costs and release seas of similar content for a quick buck, and Sony could be fighting low-effort, or perhaps AI-generated, content on its store.<\/p>\n
The company is not willing to make any statements about it yet, but I doubt it’s against AI in general. Last year, it appointed<\/a> AI “as a catalyst for positive transformation and a partner in creativity, based on the belief that AI should support people.”<\/p>\n Sony thinks using generative AI is “a starting point for enhancing productivity, reforming work processes, and inspiring creativity,” so I don’t think Nostra Games and CGI Lab’s fault lies in AI-made titles.
