Flea<\/a> stopped by\u00a0The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday night perform a cover of Frank Ocean\u2019s \u201cThinkin Bout You,\u201d<\/a> a song that appears on his upcoming debut solo album Honora.<\/p>\n

With moving strings and a soft approach, Flea and his band provided a romantic, yearning rendition of the Frank Ocean classic. Flea played both his usual bass guitar and a trumpet, taking on the song\u2019s chorus and bridge with the latter. The performance demonstrated Flea\u2019s excellence on brass, bass, and as a bandleader, but it also hammered home how great of a song \u201cThinkin Bout You\u201d is even on just an instrumental level. Flea also sat down for an interview with Fallon ahead of his musical segment. He primarily addressed the bandage he was sporting on his forehead, initially explaining that he got it after a fight in which he took on four criminals. He then admitted that story was fabricated, and claimed the bandage actually came from a \u201cbizarre peeing accident.\u201d<\/p>\n

While performing on Apple Music, he had to pee in the middle of his set: \u201cI run down the hallway, I pee, I\u2019m wearing my reading glasses, I yell something to someone \u2014 I\u2019m running at full sprint down the hallway, mind you \u2014 and BAM! [I] smack into a glass door, flat on my back, blood spurtin\u2019 out of my head\u2026 I\u2019m laying there, and I\u2019m going \u2018Oh man, I\u2019ve got to do the Fallon show in a couple of days\u2026 I\u2019ll tell him I got in a fight!’\u201d said Flea. Honora, Flea\u2019s first-ever solo album, is out on Friday, March 27th.
