There was time for an incredible space selfie when two astronauts took a spacewalk<\/a>.<\/p>\n

NASA astronaut Jessica Meir, 48, snapped herself smiling, and also captured a picture of first\u00e2\u0080\u0091time spacewalker colleague Chris Williams, 42, as he ventured outside the International Space Station<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She said on Monday, March 23: “Last week I had the privilege of conducting my fourth spacewalk, venturing out to deploy a bracket to hold a new solar array to augment the power system of the Space Station.<\/p>\n

“This spacewalk felt even more special than my previous ones because I shared the experience with a first\u00e2\u0080\u0091time spacewalker, NASA astronaut Chris Williams!<\/p>\n

“It is a tremendously powerful feeling to pass the torch to the next generation of explorers that will keep this space station running.”<\/p>\n

The spacewalk<\/a> was part of NASA\u2019s ongoing work to upgrade the station\u2019s solar power system.<\/p>\n

Social media users were impressed.<\/p>\n

Comments on X (formerly Twitter) included: “You were incredible and made it look easy. Probably most people are underestimating the enormous physical stamina it took to do that, not to mention your incredible courage,” and “Glad you both made it back inside safely.
