13 Going on 30 is, for many, one of those movies that reminds you of your teenage years, and it looks like the next generation is about to get a new and more modern version of the tale.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 22 years since we fell in love with the funny and adorable rom-com featuring Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo.

And now Netflix have decided to reboot the popular movie, but the question is …will it be as good as the original?

With fans of the movie longing for a sequel, rumours began to circulate, and according to Deadline, Netflix will be creating a new version of the film.

Jennifer Garner is set to be the executive producer, with Hannah Marks (Mark, Mary & Some Other People) and Flora Greeson (Princess Diaries 3) writing scripts.

In a statement, the director Brett Haley said ’13 Going on 30 is one of those rare perfect films. Funny, emotional, deeply human, with unforgettable performances from Jennifer Garner, Mark Ruffalo and Judy Greer. I’m a longtime fan, so stepping into this reimaging comes with tremendous responsibility.’

And he is right! It can be hard to pull off a sequel, but hopefully the reboot will be just as good as the first!

[32
321,93,61,60
post-363392","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-celebrities","tag-celebrities","tag-entertainment","tag-ie","tag-ireland
["GET
