Irish artificial intelligence (AI) company Version 1 has announced the creation of 250 jobs with the opening of a new Dublin headquarters and AI studio.<\/p>\n
The new jobs will be across the company’s operations and follows the recent announcement of 400 jobs in Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n
Version 1 provides technology services across Ireland, the United Kingdom, mainland Europe, India and North America.<\/p>\n
The company was founded in Dublin in 1996.<\/p>\n
It now has 3,700 employees globally and revenues exceeding \u20ac400 million.<\/p>\n
The new state-of-the-art AI studio has been designed as a space to co-create technology solutions alongside customers from all sectors.<\/p>\n
It will also be available to schools, universities and community groups.<\/p>\n
\nRoop Singh is the CEO of Version 1.<\/p>\n
“Our principal belief is that AI enhances human capability, it does not replace it,” said Roop Singh, Chief Executive Officer of Version 1.<\/p>\n
“This studio is where we will prove that, working alongside our customers and communities to build AI solutions that are practical, governed and grounded in real business outcomes,” Mr Singh said.<\/p>\n
Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Peter Burke welcomed the expansion.<\/p>\n
“This new headquarters represents significant inward investment in Ireland’s economy and talent base and cements our position as a premier hub for AI and business transformation services at a time when nations are competing for AI leadership,” Mr Burke said.<\/p>\n
Minister of State with responsibility for AI Niamh Smyth said the investment will benefit not only Version 1’s global customers but also the broader Irish economy and society.<\/p>\n
