A Status Yellow wind warning which was is in effect for counties Clare, Kerry, Limerick, Galway and Mayo has expired.<\/p>\n
Met \u00c9ireann had warned of very strong and very gusty westerly winds.<\/p>\n
The forecaster said that this could have resulted in some fallen trees and branches, difficult travelling conditions, large coastal waves and potentially damaging gusts of wind.<\/p>\n
Tomorrow will be cold, with frost and ice in places tomorrow night.<\/p>\n
Meteorologist with Met \u00c9ireann Michelle Dillon said: “There will be an added wind chill effect tomorrow with maximum temperatures ranging from 5 to 9 degrees and it will feel even colder than that, with fresh to strong north westerly winds.<\/p>\n
“Winds and showers will ease later into the day tomorrow. Tomorrow night will be dry but cold with frost and ice.”<\/p>\n
On Thursday, there will be a slight improvement in temperatures, with some rain also.<\/p>\n
“There will be a little bit of a recovery in temperatures on Thursday. It will be mostly cloudy with a little rain and drizzle in the west and north-west.<\/p>\n
“There will be mixed conditions with some rain and drizzle on Thursday night which will clear to the south-east early on Friday morning,” she said.<\/p>\n
Friday, will be a brighter day “with sunshine and a few scattered showers, especially further to the north and west, it will be a cool day but there will be some nice sunshine to compensate”.<\/p>\n
