This marks Levesque\u2019s return to Broadway after she starred in Moulin Rouge as Satine for several months in 2023 and again in 2024.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tLevesque rose to fame with the hits \u201cLeave (Get Out)\u201d and \u201cToo Little Too Late\u201d and became the youngest solo artist to top the Billboard Mainstream Top 40. She won a 2020 Grammy for \u201cSay So\u201d with PJ Morton and has sold more than 8 million albums worldwide across her career. In addition to her previous Broadway runs, Levesque originated the role of Tess in Working Girl at La Jolla Playhouse.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe musical sees Vassy caught between American chess prodigy Freddie Trumper, played by Tveit, whom she coaches and once loved, and Russian grandmaster, Anatoly Sergievsky, played by Christopher, who begins to catch her eye. The cast also features Hannah Cruz, Bryce Pinkham, Bradley Dean and Sean Allan Krill.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe revival features <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/lifestyle\/arts\/danny-strong-musical-chess-1236399523\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a new book by Danny Strong<\/a>, music and lyrics by ABBA\u2019s Benny Andersson and Bj\u00f6rn Ulvaeus and Tim Rice (Evita), direction by Michael Mayer (Spring Awakening) and choreography by Lorin Latarro (Waitress).
