\n\tPerez Hilton<\/a> has dropped the \u201cmost important video that I\u2019ve ever shared.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe celebrity gossip blogger took to his Instagram on Monday to share an update on his health<\/a> after being hospitalized for three weeks, as well as how \u201cGod presented himself to me\u201d amid the challenging experience.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMy stupidity landed me in the hospital for 21 days, and it was the worst and best thing that\u2019s ever happened to me,\u201d he began in the lengthy video (below).<\/p>\n

\n\tBefore being hospitalized, Hilton said he was battling the flu for a week. However, he was taking all of his medication without food, even though he was supposed to.<\/p>\n

\n\tThat\u2019s when he \u201cdeveloped an ulcer, and then a perforation, and then Sepsis,\u201d he recounted. \u201cThe day before I was hospitalized, I was in so much stomach pain. I was like, \u2018This is weird, but it\u2019ll go away.\u2019 The next morning, I couldn\u2019t walk. I had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHilton said he underwent several tests, including X-rays, CT scans and ultrasounds, because the doctors \u201ccouldn\u2019t find where the perforation was.\u201d After five days, he ended up having laparoscopic surgery.<\/p>\n

\n\tHe also had a lot of fluid around his lungs that had to be drained as well as another \u201cmajor procedure.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Sepsis just kept working and my body kept falling apart,\u201d Hilton explained. \u201cThen one night with rapid response came \u2019cause my heart got out of control. They had to put me on heart medications. And then I developed another infection in the hospital.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHe added, \u201cIt was just such a slow process. I mean, two weeks of just sickness and then another week of getting better before I was released. And that last week was hell because I had already been in the hospital two weeks by then. I was like, \u2018I just wanna go home. I just want to be with my babies.’\u201d Perez is a single father of three children.<\/p>\n

\n\tSince having time to reflect after being sent home, Hilton said that\u2019s when he came to the realization that \u201cone of the most special things about this experience is that God presented Himself to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt was not a feeling. God presented himself to me. I grew up Catholic \u2026 but I was never a believer until now. God presented himself to me and then did something. Something that I could only call miraculous,\u201d he said in the video through tears. \u201cAnd I was very lucid. It was real and this has been life-changing. I\u2019m so grateful. I\u2019m excited to start taking the kids to church every week. And to just know that God is real. \u2026 I don\u2019t have to hope to believe.
