Nikki Glaser will not be roasting Kevin Hart<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The comedian and Golden Globes host tells me that has been offered a spot on the dais for Netflix\u2019s upcoming live Hart roast hosted by Shane Gillis.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do not have the time right now in my schedule to commit to giving it what I want to give it,\u201d Glaser told me Thursday at the iHeartRadio Music Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, adding, \u201cI love it and when I work hard at it I kill it, but I just don\u2019t have the time to work hard at it and I just recently roasted Kevin Hart at the Golden Globes. I roasted him at the [Tom Brady roast]. I\u2019m coming up short with short jokes if you know what I\u2019m saying.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to Brady, Glaser has participated in roasts of Rob Lowe, Alec Baldwin and Bruce Willis.<\/p>\n

It was announced earlier this month that Glaser will return as the host of Golden Globes for a third time in 2027<\/a>. \u201cI honestly think I\u2019ll want to do it as long as they\u2019ll want to have me because, honestly, it\u2019s a fun gig,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s the one thing that I do once a year that just makes me feel like, wow, I really gave it my all. I have self-esteem from working hard and doing things that scare me. It always terrifies me. And in February, March, the spring, I\u2019m just so relaxed and feel so accomplished. If anything, it\u2019s just I want to do it to not be depressed because what makes me not depressed is being scared and conquering things whether they go well or not.\u201d<\/p>\n

Glaser will next be seen in her standup special \u201cGood Girl,\u201d premiering on Hulu on April 24.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m terrified for it to come out because it is a lot of jokes that I\u2019ve told on the road for years,\u201d she said, \u201cIt\u2019s always fine to do these jokes in front of a crowd that\u2019s not recording and you feel freer to just say crazy stuff, but then they go, \u2018We\u2019re going to put it on tape,\u2019 and you go, \u2018That\u2019s great.\u2019 Then you watch it in the edit and you\u2019re like, \u2018Wait, everyone\u2019s going to see this and there\u2019s going be like comments on this.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Glaser compared doing stand-up to having sex: \u201cI love doing it and I\u2019m crazy and wild in the moment and uninhibited, but then afterwards I don\u2019t want to talk about it. I don\u2019t want to hear what I sounded like. I don\u2019t want to hear what I said or what I did.\u201d<\/p>\n

The big iHeart headline going into the night was that Taylor Swift would be making a rare public appearance at the ceremony<\/a>. Glaser is a self-identified Swiftie but insisted she didn\u2019t actually want to come face-to-face with the superstar. They met for the first and only times years ago, but that was bfore Glaser became a superfan. \u201cMy assistant on the way here was like, \u2018Do you want to practice like what you would say to her?\u2019\u201d Glaser said. \u201cI was like, \u2018No, because I don\u2019t want it to be rehearsed and I want it to come from the heart.\u2019 But I also think that\u2019s probably a bad thing because I will probably be blubbering and kind of embarrassing [myself] because I find myself when I do meet people I really admire, I do act a fool and I can\u2019t control myself, \u00a0my teeth chatter and stuff. I don\u2019t need her to deal with that tonight. That\u2019s too much for her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Instead, Glaser said she\u2019s happy just to be in the same room as Swift: \u201cI love seeing her from afar and being like, \u2018Oh my God, I\u2019m breathing in the same air as her.’\u201d<\/p>\n
