{"id":368845,"date":"2026-03-27T23:14:11","date_gmt":"2026-03-27T23:14:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/368845\/"},"modified":"2026-03-27T23:14:11","modified_gmt":"2026-03-27T23:14:11","slug":"ger-brennan-proposed-12-week-suspension-after-sending-off-against-galway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/368845\/","title":{"rendered":"Ger Brennan proposed 12-week suspension after sending off against Galway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dublin manager Ger Brennan has been proposed a 12-week suspension arising from his <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irishexaminer.com\/sport\/gaa\/arid-41814869.html\">sending off against Galway<\/a>\u00a0in Salthill last Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Brennan has been recommended the penalty for a Category IVa offence, \u201cany type of physical interference with an opposing player or team official\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Brennan removed the ear-piece of Galway strength and conditioning coach Cian Breathnach McGinn, who is understood to have received an eight-week ban for his part in the half-time on-field flashpoint in the final round Division 1 game.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Brennan is set to miss the entire Leinster championship and opening round of the All-Ireland series.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">If the suspension stands, the St Vincent\u2019s man will not be permitted to prepare or be involved with Dublin in that period.
