Hollyoaks star Louis Emerick has revealed how his character Donny Clark will react to his partner Misbah Maalik’s son Imran returning to the village later this year<\/a>. Imran is one of Misbah’s four children, all of whom have appeared on-screen but have since left the village. <\/p>\n

Played by Ijaz Rana, Imran is set to return to Hollyoaks in the coming months alongside his new girlfriend Leah Barnes, the adopted daughter of Ste Hay. Leah was previously played by Ela-May Demircan since 2011, but has been recast and will now be played by Charlotte Riley.<\/p>\n

In conversation with Inside Soap<\/a>, Louis discussed how Donny will feel about meeting one of Misbah’s children for the first time, and introducing him into the household which the couple already share with his daughters Gemma Johnson and Vicky Grant.<\/p>\n

“Misbah was devastated when Dillon left, so to have her son back, she will be overjoyed,\u201d said Louis. \u201cFor Donny, if Misbah\u2019s happy and it brings joy into her life after what they\u2019ve both been through together, this is a really good time. <\/p>\n

“Donny will be looking forward to meeting him and introducing him to his daughters. It\u2019ll certainly make a very interesting household!\u201d<\/p>\n

In scenes airing next week, Donny is due to propose to Misbah for the second time, as they called time on their first engagement after Donny cheated on Misbah with the evil Clare Devine. Louis also weighed in on whether he thinks they couple will actually make it down the aisle this time.<\/p>\n

“I mean, we are talking about Hollyoaks after all, so you never know \u2013 but I think it\u2019s about time,” Louis said. <\/p>\n

“One of the things I like about their relationship is that they\u2019re a lot of fun. They have lots of smiles and laughs between the two of them, and it\u2019d be nice to get back on that track and make an honest woman of Misbah.”<\/p>\n
