Ciar\u00e1n Hinds is set to share a look at his latest Donegal film when he appears on The Late Late Show on RT\u00c9 tonight.<\/p>\n

Fresh from receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2026 IFTA ceremony, the Belfast actor is due to reflect on a career that has seen him star in films including Belfast, Munich, Road to Perdition and There Will Be Blood.<\/p>\n

Donegal fans will be looking forward to hearing from Hinds on The Three Urns, a new comedy shot in more than 40 locations across the county last spring.<\/p>\n

The Three Urns, which stars Hinds alongside Olga Kurylenko and Stephen Dillane, with Stephen Fry also featuring, arrives in cinemas on 17th April and uses Donegal as both a backdrop and an emotional landscape.<\/p>\n

Irish hospitality lies at the heart of The Three Urns and for lead actor Hinds, he said that warmth was felt everywhere, especially at the cast and crew\u2019s base in Ramelton.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were very welcome there,\u201d says Hinds. \u201cSometimes you have a little trepidation about disturbing the people who live [at a location] but they were quite delighted I think. Not quite the circus coming to town but something that hasn\u2019t happened in that area before.\u201d<\/p>\n

That sense of welcome runs through a production that made extraordinary use of the county\u2019s landscape and historical landmarks. Ramelton, Raphoe, Dunfanaghy and Buncrana all feature prominently in The Three Urns.<\/p>\n

Hinds is no stranger to filming in Donegal. In 2022, he appeared alongside Liam Neeson in In the Land of Saints and Sinners, which was shot in the south west of Donegal, and in 2006 he had a role in the Inishowen-based drama Amazing Grace, which featured the experiences of John Newton.<\/p>\n
