{"id":369656,"date":"2026-03-28T10:46:09","date_gmt":"2026-03-28T10:46:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/369656\/"},"modified":"2026-03-28T10:46:09","modified_gmt":"2026-03-28T10:46:09","slug":"bank-of-ireland-raises-e750m-with-new-green-bond","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/369656\/","title":{"rendered":"Bank of Ireland raises \u20ac750m with new green bond"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bankofireland.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Bank of Ireland<\/a> has raised \u20ac750m through a new <a href=\"https:\/\/businessplus.ie\/tag\/green-bonds\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"5682\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">green bond<\/a> issuance, its second green bond of the year and the first euro-denominated senior issuance by a European bank since the start of the Middle East conflict.<\/p>\n<p>The bond was issued with an eight-year maturity and priced as mid swaps plus 100 basis points, representing the tightest Irish senior debt issuance since 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Mid swaps refers to the midpoint between bid and offer rates in the interest rate swap market and is commonly used as a benchmark for setting the interest rate on new corporate bond issues.<\/p>\n<p>Investor demand was strong, with final orders exceeding \u20ac2.2bn and participation from approximately 135 investors.
