{"id":370779,"date":"2026-03-29T03:29:12","date_gmt":"2026-03-29T03:29:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/370779\/"},"modified":"2026-03-29T03:29:12","modified_gmt":"2026-03-29T03:29:12","slug":"geoff-parling-explains-angry-reaction-to-craig-doyle-after-ball-was-kicked-towards-players","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/370779\/","title":{"rendered":"Geoff Parling explains angry reaction to Craig Doyle after ball was kicked towards players"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LEICESTER TIGERS BOSS Geoff Parling says he was protecting his players when he was involved in a heated exchange with TV presenters ahead of their Prem match with Gloucester at Villa Park on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Footage showed TNT Sports\u2019 Craig Doyle inviting Liam MacDevitt to attempt a conversion, saying it was an initiation as a new member of the presenting team.<\/p>\n<p>MacDevitt sent his kick from out on the touchline towards the posts in the direction of where Leicester players were warming up, prompting a furious response from Parling.<\/p>\n<p>He marched over, pushing Doyle out of the way after the presenter asked: \u201cWould you sign him Geoff?\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s f****** not on,\u201d Parling said.<\/p>\n<p>Doyle apologised for the language, saying: \u201cGeoff not happy about that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Speaking after the game to BBC Radio Leicester, Parling said: \u201cThe producer from TNT has just come and apologised to me.
