Married At First Sight<\/a> bride Alissa Fay has hit back at claims her antics on the latest episode was anything<\/a> but fine.<\/p>\n

As we near the end of the 2026 season<\/a>, the contestants were given one major final test that\u2019s been called the \u201cbiggest twist the experiment has ever seen\u201d.<\/p>\n

The grooms went to lunch<\/a> with each other, as did the brides, but they were greeted with their backup matches<\/a> to test their loyalty.<\/p>\n

Some of the contestants bailed from the challenge, but others, like Alissa, stayed and enjoyed a conversation with the person they could have been paired with for the show.<\/p>\n

But the Adelaide nurse and social media manager insisted it was just a fun outing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just went out and had a great time. I was unhinged \u2013 it was exactly what I needed. I\u2019d been quiet for too long,\u201d she told TV Week<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 33-year-old admitted this challenge came at the worst time in the experiment as her marriage to David Momoh was on rocky foundations.<\/p>\n

While the pair seemed like one of the strongest relationships of the 2026 season, cracks have started to show over the last few episodes.<\/p>\n

David has felt like he hasn\u2019t been able to voice his feelings and Alissa has complained he doesn\u2019t challenge her and keep her interested.<\/p>\n

What happened during MAFS\u2019 \u2018biggest ever twist\u2019?<\/p>\n

When the backup matches arrived for the grooms, David almost immediately left the table and stayed in the bathroom, as he didn\u2019t want to chat to another woman and create further cracks with Alissa.<\/p>\n

Alissa, on the other hand, happily chatted to her backup match, Conor Loughnan, who is a beach and track sprinter.<\/p>\n

The pair got on well and Alissa said it was \u201crefreshing\u201d being paired with a person who had \u201ca bit more of a bubbly personality\u201d than her husband.<\/p>\n

But during their chats, she revealed that she\u2019s only 70 per cent invested in her marriage and that things have been rocky recently.<\/p>\n

She even asked Conor if he was going to pull down his pants and show the tattoo he had on his backside.<\/p>\n

Judging from the preview for Tuesday night\u2019s episode, it\u2019s clear David isn\u2019t impressed at Alissa\u2019s behaviour.<\/p>\n

But the 33-year-old claimed David is the red flag for not trusting her and criticising her behaviour.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf he can\u2019t handle me sitting at a table talking to other people\u2026 I am at events all the time, I\u2019m at long lunches with businessmen all the time,\u201d she told TV Week.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow is he going to be with me in the real world?\u201d<\/p>\n

But viewers didn\u2019t hold the same perspective, with many saying the way she handled the challenge wasn\u2019t comforting.<\/p>\n

“Most of these relationships are fragile and on life support. That said, I can’t believe some of things said by Bec and Alissa. This experience shouldn’t be an excuse to dump on your partner and say horrible things. Do that to their faces, if need be,\u201d said one.<\/p>\n

“I think Alissa is lowkey so disrespectful. A really hard watch,\u201d added another.<\/p>\n

“The way Bec and Alissa were talking about David and Danny is like they didn’t even like them. If you speak about your partner like that, you need to leave. You should always be singing your partners praises when they’re not around,\u201d wrote a third.<\/p>\n

A few criticised David and Scott for ditching the test and being seemingly unable to have a conversation with another woman over fears on how their wives would react.<\/p>\n

Tuesday night\u2019s episode will see some of the brides and grooms watch footage from their partner\u2019s lunch with their backup match and it\u2019s clear it does not go down well with some.<\/p>\n
