The Age of Attraction season 1 reunion<\/a> hasn\u2019t even aired yet (it hits the Viall Files YouTube channel on April 1 at 7 p.m. ET), but already fans are asking, \u201cAre we getting a second season?\u201d (Okay, it is me. I am fans.) Well, good news: Netflix just announced that Age of Attraction season 2 is officially a go following the success of the unhinged first season, and I, for one, am very pleased to hear it.<\/p>\n

As executive producers Jennifer O\u2019Connell and Rebecca Quinn said of the decision in a statement, \u201cWe love concepts that are impossible to look away from, and Age of Attraction nailed that from day one. It\u2019s messy, it\u2019s real, and that\u2019s what makes it fun to watch. Huge thanks to Netflix for embracing this dating experiment with us. The response has been incredible, and we\u2019re excited to push it even further in season 2.\u201d<\/p>\n

So far, Netflix hasn\u2019t released any more details about what fans can expect from season 2, so stand by for updates. But presumably, Nick Viall and Natalie Joy will return to host, and the majority of filming will likely once again take place at the Brew Creek Centre in Whistler, British Columbia, which is where the season 1 retreat was held.<\/p>\n

Oh, and if you\u2019re wondering, \u201cWhy Canada?\u201d the explanation actually makes a lot of sense (and no, it wasn\u2019t just due to Canadian tax credits\u2014though that was certainly part of the reason).<\/p>\n

As EP Jennifer O\u2019Connell previously explained to Deadline<\/a>, \u201cThere\u2019s been a million dating shows on tropical islands, and I think we wanted to stand out a little bit, but also find a place that\u2019s really beautiful. If you think about someone of a certain age, you know, not 19 years old, wants to go on a nice retreat, we were trying to create a very high-end resort type situation where you would really be able to enjoy nature and do lots of outdoorsy things. It was nice to shoot somewhere that you haven\u2019t seen a million times on reality TV.\u201d<\/p>\n
