\u201cHe hates when I say that, but it\u2019s actually the definition. If he comes near my stuff, it breaks,\u201d Gellar told her Ready or Not 2: Here I Come costar Samara Weaving in a conversation for Interview Magazine<\/p>\n

Gellar and Prinze have been married for 23 years and share two children, Charlotte, 16, and Rocky, 13<\/p>\n

Sarah Michelle Gellar<\/a> poked fun at her husband Freddie Prinze Jr<\/a>.’s relationship with technology in a new interview.<\/p>\n

As she logged onto a video call to speak with her Ready or Not 2: Here I Come<\/a> costar Samara Weaving<\/a> for Interview Magazine<\/a>, Gellar, 48, said, \u201cI have a new computer, and I totally can\u2019t figure out how it works.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m allergic to technology, I think,” Weaving, 34, replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cI always call Freddie [Prinze Jr.] a Luddite and he hates when I say that, but it\u2019s actually the definition,\u201d Gellar said of her husband. \u201cIf he comes near my stuff, it breaks.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m the Luddite,\u201d Weaving joked.<\/p>\n

A Luddite is defined as “someone who is opposed or resistant to new technologies or technological change,” per Dictionary.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In her recent PEOPLE cover story<\/a>, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer star opened up about her 23-year marriage<\/a> with Prinze, 50, and how keeping their relationship private has helped its longevity.<\/p>\n

\u201cI always say I\u2019m two people: I\u2019m Sarah Michelle Gellar, and I\u2019m Sarah Prinze,\u201d Gellar said. “They\u2019re different people.” Sarah Prinze, she said, has “a quieter life and a private life.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOur running joke is every year we have to look up when our anniversary is. Thankfully, People.com always reminds us!\u201d she quipped. \u201cThen we always get how many years confused. We know that we started dating in 2000, so that\u2019s easier.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a July 2025 interview with Variety<\/a>, Prinze revealed the key to keeping their marriage strong.<\/p>\n

“Marriage is hard, no matter what business you\u2019re in. What works for us might not work for everyone else. We work at it,” he said, adding, “I\u2019m not perfect. She\u2019s not perfect. We piss each other off, but we respect one another.”<\/p>\n

The couple, who first met when they both starred in 1997\u2019s I Know What You Did Last Summer<\/a>, will celebrate their 24th year of marriage in September. They share daughter Charlotte, 16, and son Rocky, 13.<\/p>\n

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come is now in theaters.<\/p>\n
