Four men and a teen were arrested today following a suspected burglary after crashing into two cars in Dublin.<\/p>\n
Three members of the public were taken to Tallaght Hospital for assessment following the collision.<\/p>\n
At around 1:40pm, a car with five occupants failed to stop for Garda\u00ed in the Knocklyon area of Dublin 16.<\/p>\n
The car was subsequently involved in a collision with two cars driven by members of the public at Grange Road, Rathfarnham.<\/p>\n
The five occupants of the car fled on foot and were pursued by Garda\u00ed, with the assistance of the Garda Air Support Unit.<\/p>\n
The occupants of the car were suspected of involvement in a burglary in Walkinstown, Dublin 12 a short time earlier.<\/p>\n

Five men were subsequently detained at Garda stations in the Dublin Metropolitan Region.<\/p>\n
Two of the men, one in his 50s and the other a teenager, were arrested under the Theft and Fraud Offences Act and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.<\/p>\n
The teen has since been released pending further investigations.<\/p>\n
A third man, aged in his 20s, was arrested on foot of a bench warrant.<\/p>\n
Two others, aged in their 20s, were detained for the purposes of a search under the Misuse of Drugs Act and subsequently released without charge.<\/p>\n
All three occupants of the two cars driven by the members of the public were brought to Tallaght Hospital for assessment.<\/p>\n
