Lionel Richie provided a rare update about his expanding family after his youngest daughter, Sofia Richie Grainge, welcomed her second child in March.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone’s happy, and that’s the part I love the most, watching everyone blossom,\u201d Richie said.<\/p>\n

The Grammy winning musician is a dad to three and a grandfather to four<\/p>\n

Lionel Richie is sharing a rare update about his expanding family. The Grammy winner’s daughter, Sofia Richie Grainge<\/a>, 27, gave birth to her second child with husband Elliot Grainge<\/a>, 32, in March. On Instagram<\/a>, they announced the arrival of their son, Henry Cecil Grainge.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe beautiful part about it is that the family keeps growing, and my pride keeps popping out of my chest,\u201d the 76-year-old musician told USA Today<\/a> on March 30. \u201cIt’s wonderful. Everyone’s happy, and that’s the part I love the most, watching everyone blossom.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Grainges welcomed their first child, a daughter named Eloise<\/a>, in May 2024.<\/p>\n

Richie Grainge has opened up about what Richie is like as a grandfather. \u201cWe call him Pop Pop,\u201d she told the Wall Street Journal<\/a> in August 2024. The hitmaker previously expressed resistance<\/a> to being called “grandpa.”<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cHe was on a U.S. tour when I gave birth, so he came home to meet Eloise. He\u2019s in love, and it\u2019s so crazy. It\u2019s so surreal to be the youngest kid and then have a kid and see your parents act with your kids. I don\u2019t know how to explain it.\u201d<\/p>\n

After Eloise was born, Richie spoke about how he bonds with his granddaughter. \u201cI have a problem,\u201d he told E! News<\/a> that October. \u201cYou know, it’s like the thing where you can just blow on the stomach and the little smile comes on the face. I can just stick her in my pocket and take her around town.\u201d<\/p>\n

Richie also has two grandchildren from his daughter Nicole Richie<\/a>, Harlow and Sparrow, whom she shares with her husband, Joel Madden.<\/p>\n
