A County Derry man has been convicted and fined \u20ac320 for a speeding offence after driving at 124kph near the Barnesmore Gap.<\/p>\n
Eoin Dooey (24) of Manor Court, Kilrea, Coleraine, appeared at Donegal District Court at Ballyshannon Courthouse.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He pleaded guilty of driving a vehicle exceeding the National Road Speed Limit of 100kph on September 6, 2025 on the N15 at Keadew Lower.<\/p>\n
Dooey told Judge Cunningham that he had tried to pay the speeding ticket online.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Judge Cunningham said: \u201cThe very best I can do for you is to convict and fine \u20ac320 and give four months to pay. That was what you would have paid.\u201d<\/p>\n
