In the 90s, Liam and Anne O\u2019Connell took over the business\u00a0before expanding and establishing Danolla\u2019s in 2001.<\/p>\n<p>Now, the next generation continues that legacy. Patjoe O\u2019Connell, who has led the Castlebar operation for\u00a0over 20 years, has overseen a period of strong growth, investment, and national recognition.<\/p>\n<p>Along the way,\u00a0Danolla\u2019s has picked up multiple accolades \u2014 including Ireland&#8217;s Best Fresh Chicken Fillet Burger 2025\u00a0\u2014 before achieving its biggest milestone yet, Ireland\u2019s Best Fish &amp; Chips 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about the announcement, Patjoe said:\u201cGood Friday has always been a huge day for fish and chips, so it felt like the right moment to\u00a0share this.
