Pic: Whyte\u2019s Auctioneers.<\/p>\n<p>A number of collections of postcards have gone to auction, including \u2018scarce\u2019 Donegal street scenes.<\/p>\n<p>They form part of Whyte\u2019s Auctioneers \u2018Eclectic Collector\u2019 \u200conline auction, which runs from April 7 to the 18th.<\/p>\n<p>The estimated prices of the collections vary from \u20ac150 to \u20ac300 and include street scenes from Buncrana (below), Donegal Town and Stranorlar.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-628803 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Buncrana-old-pic-postcard-Whytes.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"515\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>One lot, of 60 Donegal postcards, has been described by the auctioneers as including \u2018scarce street scenes. Many of these are very good in an antique album and have an estimated value of between \u20ac200-\u20ac300.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-628804\" class=\"wp-image-628804 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Stranorlar-old-pic-postcard-Whytes.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"500\"  \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-628804\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">This Stranorlar scene is contained in a collection of 60 postcards from the county. Pic: Whyte\u2019s Auctioneers.<\/p>\n<p>A vintage London Midland or Scottish railway tourism poster of Sheephaven Bay (below), featuring a scene by the famous Paul Henry, has an estimated price of between \u20ac600-\u20ac800. It measures 40 by 25in.
