{"id":380942,"date":"2026-04-04T02:30:10","date_gmt":"2026-04-04T02:30:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/380942\/"},"modified":"2026-04-04T02:30:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-04T02:30:10","slug":"callander-museum-presents-solo-exhibition-by-jack-lockhart","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/380942\/","title":{"rendered":"Callander museum presents solo exhibition by Jack Lockhart"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Saturday, April 4, the Alex Dufresne Gallery in Callander is opening a new solo exhibition by Northern Ontario artist Jack Lockhart<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, April 4, the Alex Dufresne Gallery in Callander is opening a new solo exhibition by Northern Ontario artist Jack Lockhart.<\/p>\n<p>Entitled, Beyond Imagination: A Journey Through 60 Years of Creative Expertise, the show brings together a range of new and retrospective artworks, highlighting Lockhart\u2019s works in watercolour, acrylic and oil.<\/p>\n<p>Gallery curator, Natasha Wiatr, emphasized in a release, \u201cThis exhibition highlights not only his creative evolution but also his willingness to push the boundaries of style, technique, and form.\u201d She added that Lockhart describes art as both his passion and his legacy, and his works have been collected around the world in private and corporate collections.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have always been driven by curiosity and the need to create,\u201d said Lockhart. \u201cThe show celebrated the variety and innovation I\u2019ve explored throughout my career. My hope is that visitors feel the joy I experience when painting \u2013 and perhaps leave inspired with ideas of their own.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The opening reception takes place on April 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. The artist will be present, and admission is free. The Alex Dufresne Gallery is at 107 Lansdowne Street, in Callander, within the same building as the Callander Museum.
