ITV Racing is back Saturday with action from Musselburgh and Haydock, starting here with a handicap over a mile for three-year-old\u2019s. I suspect VINCENZO PERUGGIA will have more to give this season and has a chance to make all. He beat the re-opposing Strength of Spirit last term and while the weights are different here I suspect he\u2019s the classier of that pair. He was outclassed in a Group 2 but a mark of 91 looks fair. Rowan Scott rides for Charlie Johnston.<\/p>\n

Now a handicap over 7f. MIDNIGHT GUN can outclass this field under a big weight. He was sent off favourite for the Lincoln last season and finished a fine sixth, and after that he was a good second at Doncaster before finishing fourth in a Listed contest at Saint-Cloud. He might prefer a bit more cut in the ground, but he\u2019s a class above these as far as talent is concerned. Can be dropped out and swoop late. James Doyle rides for Hamad al Jehani.<\/p>\n

A handicap hurdle over nearly 2m. DANCE AND GLANCE showed enough at Sandown after a decent Ascot win to suggest he can cope with a mark around 120 and while he was tailed off in a valuable event at Newbury last time \u2013 finished fifth but a distant one \u2013 that was in heavy going and he probably just go stuck in the mud. Each-way chance for Sam Twiston-Davies and Anthony Honeyball.<\/p>\n

14:30 Musselburgh \u2013 Al Qareem<\/a><\/p>\n

Up in class for a Listed contest over 1m6f. AL QAREEM will be warming up for Chester but he can go well fresh and with a rating of 114 the old boy will be hard to catch from the front at this track. He was better than ever last season and provided he\u2019s fit enough should take all the beating for Clifford Lee and Karl Burke. Lee returned from injury with a ride at Newcastle this week.<\/p>\n

A handicap hurdle over an extended 3m. Paul Nicholls will be all out to beat Dan Skelton here and he might just do so with the good looking JAKAR DU MOULIN. This expensive purchase has been much improved since a wind operation and followed a victory at Exeter with a win at Ascot. Stays well and could well be a lot better than his current rating. Harry Cobden rides.<\/p>\n

15:05 Musselburgh \u2013 Wise Eagle<\/a> (each-way)<\/p>\n

A handicap over 1m6f. WISE EAGLE might be over-priced. At the age of nine he\u2019s not going to be getting any better, but he has shown some life over hurdles this year and he was fourth in this last season off 104 and he\u2019s down to 95 now. Added to which he ran on well last year from off the pace. An each-way chance for Adam Nicol and Billy Gerrity.<\/p>\n

15:20 Haydock \u2013 Outlaw Peter<\/a> (each-way)<\/p>\n

Now a veterans\u2019 handicap chase over 2m4f. OUTLAW PETER was stuffed by the re-opposing Genois last time but he\u2019s 2lb better off and this slightly longer trip is also in his favour. Throw in a first time tongue strap and I suspect Harry Cobden has an each-way chance for his boss Paul Nicholls.<\/p>\n

15:42 Musselburgh \u2013 Pilgrim<\/a> (each-way)<\/p>\n

The Scottish Sprint Cup Handicap over 5f. PILGRIM could one the one chucked in here if back to his best. He\u2019s been very lightly raced of late, but in 2024 landed the 28-runner Palace of Holyrood Handicap at Royal Ascot. He was rated 92 then and is back on 92 here, although William Pyle takes off 3lb so you could argue he\u2019s racing off 89. An each-way chance at his best for a very shrewd outfit in the Barron stable.<\/p>\n

Finally a low grade handicap chase over 2m4f. COUNT ADHEMAR looked in need of going up in trip at Newcastle last time but he\u2019s never won a race yet and is hard to be too strong on for that reason. Theo Gillard rides for Donald McCain. A poor race by ITV standards.<\/p>\n
