A surreal new comedy film on Disney+ and Hulu, featuring a Stranger Things icon, has been hailed as one of the finest films of 2026 just hours after its debut. The new stoner comedy Pizza Movie was released on the streaming platforms worldwide yesterday (Friday, 3rd April) and has already garnered a devoted cult following.<\/p>\n

Gaten Matarazzo and Sean Giambrone star as Jack and Montgomery, two socially awkward secondary school students who struggle to make their mark and are bullied by their classmates. When they stumble upon a tin of drugs known as M.I.N.T.S., they swiftly discover the substance triggers erratic and violent hallucinations, rather than the mellow high they had been led to expect.<\/p>\n

Jack and Montgomery learn that their terrifying trip can only be brought to an end by eating pizza, and set off on a perilous mission to obtain some from a delivery robot, the Snackatron 3000.<\/p>\n

The cast is brimming with comedy talent, including Marcus Scribner (Black-ish), Caleb Hearon (Sweethearts), Sarah Sherman (Saturday Night Live), and the voices of Bobby Moynihan (SNL) and Harry Potter himself Daniel Radcliffe<\/a>, reports the Express<\/a>. Pizza Movie’s outlandish and juvenile humour has clearly resonated with audiences, as it currently holds an 82 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes and appears destined to become a future cult classic.<\/p>\n

“I’m not kidding by the way, Pizza Movie rocks, it’s essentially just college roommate humour but you’d be hard pressed to have a bad time watching it,” one fan shared on X. “It got big laughs out of me which I didn’t expect at all, IT’S GOOD BRO” Someone else posted: “I’m gonna tell my future kids about the masterpiece that is pizza movie.”<\/p>\n

“Best movie I’ve watched in 2026 so far,” a 10\/10 IMDb review claimed. “It really gave me a Scott Pilgrim kind of vibe! I am so picky when it comes to movies I swear I can never get into them anymore but this movie had my attention.<\/p>\n

“Didn’t bother to check my phone. Very funny and witty, good storyline, AMAZING acting, great quality and graphics. Definitely not what you would expect from the movie title. I came across it and gave it a chance and I’m so happy I did!”<\/p>\n
