{"id":382070,"date":"2026-04-04T19:12:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-04T19:12:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/382070\/"},"modified":"2026-04-04T19:12:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-04T19:12:08","slug":"crimson-desert-patch-now-available-heres-whats-new","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/382070\/","title":{"rendered":"Crimson Desert patch now available \u2013 here&#8217;s what&#8217;s new"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pearl Abyss has rolled out another patch for Crimson Desert, adding in the Headgear Visibility option to give you a better look at Kliff, private storage capacity expansion of up to 1000 slots (depending on the Greymane camp&#8217;s expansion level), and numerous other &#8220;fixes and improvements&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>A &#8216;Movement Controls&#8217; option has also been added with <a href=\"https:\/\/crimsondesert.pearlabyss.com\/en-US\/News\/Notice\/Detail?_boardNo=80\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Patch 1.02.00<\/a>, &#8220;along with further control-related improvements&#8221; that hope to address some of the lingering QoL issues concerning how you move around Kilff&#8217;s world. For instance, you can now toggle sprinting between the Basic and Classic movesets, with Basic consuming stamina at set intervals, and Classic &#8220;consuming stamina each time the sprint key is pressed&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Crimson Desert &#8211; Official Launch Trailer.<a class=\"video\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=qQPKLncs7Og\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Watch on YouTube<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the full patch notes for the update that&#8217;s rolling out across all platforms today (4th April):<\/p>\n<p>Major Updates<\/p>\n<p>This patch adds the Headgear Visibility option, private storage capacity expansion of up to 1000 slots depending on the Greymane camp&#8217;s expansion level, and more.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, for those who preferred the previous movement controls, a \u201cMovement Controls\u201d option has been added, along with further control-related improvements.<\/p>\n<p>Update Schedule<\/p>\n<p>Patch 1.02.00 will become available on PlayStation, Xbox, Epic Games Store, and Mac App Store at a later time. Please check back to this notice and we&#8217;ll provide updates on when the patch becomes available for each platform.<\/p>\n<p>Patch Notes Version 1.02.00<\/p>\n<p>Content<\/p>\n<p>Depending on your progress with the Greymane camp expansion, the capacity of your private storage can now be increased from 240 slots up to a maximum of 1000 slots.<br \/>\nThrough the expansion of your camp, which consists of 5 stages in total, you can expand your private storage as follows:<br \/>\nStart with 240 slots<br \/>\nFirst camp expansion +100 slots<br \/>\nSecond camp expansion +100 slots<br \/>\nThird camp expansion +100 slots<br \/>\nFourth camp expansion +100 slots<br \/>\nFinal camp expansion +360 slots<br \/>\nAdded an Abyss Nexus in Pailune.<br \/>\nImproved the visibility of explosive barrels when using the \u201cLight Reflection\u201d skill or when shining the lantern on them.<br \/>\nFixed an issue with combat missions, where comrades would not return until the mission timer expired if the mission was completed before the time limit.<br \/>\nFixed an issue where the Abyss puzzle state would reset when viewing detailed information of nodes via the map &#8220;Details&#8221; menu while in the Abyss.<br \/>\nFixed an issue where the character would become invisible if an Abyss Artifact was obtained before the Abyss completion cutscene played.<br \/>\nFixed an issue where the skills Healing Force Palm and Aerial Force Palm were also reset when resetting all skills.<br \/>\nChanged the designs of certain gimmick monsters.<br \/>\nAdded 1 new armor set and helmet for cats.<br \/>\nImproved Abyss Skybridge Gates so that restored Gates can be teleported to. (This change was applied in Patch 1.01.00)<br \/>\nFixed an issue where the bank investment refresh time would remain stuck in the &#8220;Refreshing&#8221; state and not update. (Added: 2026\/04\/04 05:00 UTC)<\/p>\n<p>Controls &amp; Combat<\/p>\n<p>Added a \u201cMovement Controls\u201d option.<br \/>\nThe option can be selected via Main Menu &gt; Others &gt; Settings &gt; Input &gt; Movement Controls, and offers two options: Basic and Classic.<br \/>\nDetailed descriptions can be found in the in-game options menu.<br \/>\nBasic movement controls: Hold the sprint key to accelerate.<br \/>\nClassic movement controls: Repeatedly press the sprint key to accelerate.<\/p>\n<p>The stamina consumption for mounts has been adjusted.<br \/>\nWith Basic movement controls, holding the sprint key consumes stamina at set intervals.<br \/>\nWith Classic movement controls, stamina is consumed each time the sprint key is pressed.<\/p>\n<p>Improved the conditions for using the Abyss Nexus, allowing them to be used even while moving slightly except in certain situations such as while mounted or while using Flight.<br \/>\nWe plan to improve this further in the near future so that the player character can fast travel even while on certain mounts.<br \/>\nImproved so that the Flight skill can be activated even when holding the jump key in mid-air.<br \/>\nImproved responsiveness when inputting a jump after an attack.<br \/>\nAdded an Escape key guide when affected by elemental status effects.<br \/>\nFixed an issue where the Focus state would not be canceled when using Aerial Roll during flight.<br \/>\nFixed an issue where weapons could not be drawn inside Demeniss Castle under certain conditions.<br \/>\nFixed an issue where some bosses would teleport too far away during combat.<br \/>\nFixed an issue where the &#8216;Double Boost&#8217; horse ability would not activate properly.<br \/>\nFixed an issue where parry would not activate properly during &#8216;Focus&#8217; when a two-handed sword was equipped.<br \/>\nFixed an issue where the camera would turn toward nearby enemies when aiming with a tool.<br \/>\nFixed an issue where certain interactions were unavailable while specific tools were equipped.<br \/>\nFixed an issue where repeatedly pressing the sprint key would allow a horse to run at maximum speed regardless of its stats.<\/p>\n<p>Quests<\/p>\n<p>Fixed an issue in Chapter 6 where quest progression became unavailable after defeating a boss following a save\/load under certain conditions.<br \/>\nFixed an issue where quest progression became unavailable if a related item was sold before starting the &#8216;A Rumor Fueled by Greed&#8217; quest.<br \/>\nFixed an issue in Chapter 11 where the Inserted Key could disappear from the bag, preventing related quest progression.<\/p>\n<p>NPC &amp; NPC Dialogue<\/p>\n<p>Fixed an issue where certain quest-related NPCs would not appear.<\/p>\n<p>UI Fixes &amp; Improvements<\/p>\n<p>Improved the item use notification in the bottom-right corner so that using it will select the item directly.<br \/>\nImproved the shop UI so that sellable items are prioritized on display.<br \/>\nReorganized certain positions and content of the key guide displayed in the bottom-right corner to improve visibility.<br \/>\nImproved the UI so that the Save Game and Load Game menus are separated, and added save slot number labels.<br \/>\nFixed an issue where the minimap scale would reset while riding a mount at maximum speed.<br \/>\n[Keyboard\/Mouse] Fixed an issue where the mouse cursor would disappear in the storage menu.<br \/>\nFixed an issue where item movement would not work properly when entering the horse inventory menu in certain circumstances.<br \/>\nFixed an issue where certain menus would occasionally not respond to interaction or appear visually awkward.<br \/>\nFixed an issue where crashes occured when entering or using some UI\/menus in certain circumstances.<br \/>\nImproved the game so that the \u201cStow Weapon\u201d key guide is displayed while in combat when mounted.<\/p>\n<p>Graphics &amp; Settings<\/p>\n<p>Added a \u201cHeadgear Visibility\u201d option in Settings &gt; Language &amp; Gameplay.<br \/>\nThe following options are available to choose from: Always Show \/ Show in Combat \/ Hide in Cutscenes \/ Always Hide.<br \/>\nAdditionally, a feature to hide weapons shown on the character\u2019s back, which many players have requested, is also planned to be added in the near future.<br \/>\n[PC\/PlayStation 5\/Xbox] Improved FSR upscaling quality.<br \/>\n[PC] Applied FSR SDK 2.2.<br \/>\n[PC] Improved FSR Frame Generation quality.<br \/>\n[PC] Fixed an issue where GPU memory usage would increase when the DLSS RR option was configured.<br \/>\n[PC] Improved GPU load and shimmering in certain circumstances when FSR-RR \/ DLSS-RR was enabled.<br \/>\n[PC] Fixed an issue where foliage and certain other elements were not rendered properly in ray-traced reflections when FSR-RR \/ DLSS-RR was enabled.<br \/>\n[PC] Fixed an issue where the top of the screen would flicker when DLAA and HDR options were enabled.<br \/>\n[PC] Fixed a rendering issue affecting the character\u2019s face indoors when the graphics preset was set to Low.<br \/>\n[PlayStation 5] Applied the Upgraded PSSR Sharpen feature on PlayStation 5 Pro, improving image sharpness.<br \/>\n[PlayStation 5] Applied Upgraded PSSR Native AA to Quality Mode on PlayStation 5 Pro.<br \/>\n[Xbox] Fixed an issue where V-Sync behavior would change when pressing the Home button.<br \/>\n[Xbox] Added a 4K upscaling option to Performance Mode on Xbox Series X.<\/p>\n<p>Performance, Stability, Gameplay<\/p>\n<p>Fixed several stability, performance optimization, and crash issues across PC, console, and Mac.<\/p>\n<p>Localisation<\/p>\n<p>Fixed various localisation errors and improved localisation quality (game advice, etc.) across all languages.<\/p>\n<p>Others<\/p>\n<p>Fixed an issue where certain walls in Corridors of the Void were missing.<br \/>\nImproved the sound so that the sound position changes together with the camera perspective.<br \/>\nFixed various other in-game issues.<\/p>\n<p>Other Fixes<\/p>\n<p>Fixed an issue where the weapon would not be visible when using the &#8216;Stab&#8217;
