Almost every other week, Pixel users report running into one issue or another. This time around, Pixel 8 Pro owners are complaining about Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity issues on their units after the March 2026 update.

Reports of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth not working properly on Pixel 8 Pro and newer Pixel models first popped up after the January 2026 update this year. Two months and a couple of major updates later, the issue still remains unresolved.

Unfortunately, based on Reddit reports, the problem this time is more serious than just Wi-Fi and Bluetooth randomly disconnecting. As u/danillll2017 explains, “After the March update, Wi-Fi began randomly failing — wifi goes grey and the device can no longer list or connect to any access point. Initially, a hard restart restored connectivity for a few minutes, but that workaround stopped working over time. Bluetooth and mobile data are also intermittently affected.”

After digging through the system log, the user discovered that the Wi-Fi HAL driver cannot see the network interface presented by the kernel. This seemingly suggests this is a low-level firmware bug.

What makes matters worse is the temporary workaround to restore Wi-Fi and other connectivity features on the Pixel 8 Pro. These features work fine when the device is cold, but once it reaches normal operating temperatures or warms up, the issues return. The Reddit user suggests placing the phone on an ice pack while using it, as doing so reportedly ensures that Wi-Fi and Bluetooth work properly.

Google is yet to acknowledge the problem

Contacting Google support is of little help, as they eventually point to the phone being out of warranty as an excuse to not provide any support.

The issue doesn’t appear to be a one-off or limited to a single device, as many Pixel 8 Pro users report the same problem. Many of them have been facing connectivity issues since January, suggesting the March 2026 update may not be the root cause.

I’m not experiencing any Wi-Fi or Bluetooth issues on my Pixel 8 Pro, but I mostly use it as a secondary device, so it doesn’t see heavy use. That could be why the problem hasn’t surfaced in my case.

However, based on numerous reports from users on Reddit, it’s clear there’s a broader issue with the Pixel 8 Pro’s connectivity. What remains to be seen is whether Google acknowledges the problem and rolls out a fix.

Despite all the improvements Google has made to Pixel hardware in recent years, the experience remains largely buggy.…

[6
61,60,80
0":"post-384431","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-technology","8":"tag-ie","9":"tag-ireland","10":"tag-technology
["GET
