diagnosed with a neurological disorder<\/a> called Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), after what she said was \u201can incredibly scary\u201d and \u201cvery difficult” few weeks spent in the hospital. <\/p>\nShe described at the time how she was unable to lift her legs and shared with fans the story of what led to her diagnosis of the incurable disorder.<\/p>\n
In February, the 37-year-old, who had been looking forward to what was to be her first live show since her diagnosis, shared a statement on Instagram confirming that she would not be performing at the Clanree Hotel in Letterkenny with fellow country star Nathan Carter.<\/p>\n
Since then, the singer-songwriter said she has taken a step back from everything to focus on building her energy back up again after her most recent sickness and to spend some proper time \u201con the things that matter most\u201d.<\/p>\n
On Sunday, McHugh shared an update on Instagram, alongside some photos of her and two children, Milo and Hallie.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe kids have definitely kept me busy (as you can see) and brought plenty of smiles along the way,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m feeling really good and have recovered well, so I\u2019ll be checking in more often and keeping you updated on what\u2019s coming up \u2014 I\u2019ve got some really exciting things and events ahead that I\u2019m looking forward to!<\/p>\n
